Most people are familiar with the standard purple beets but there are sweeter flavored heirloom varieties like "Chioggia", a red beet with white bulls eye stripes inside and Golden beet, wonderful oven roasted in foil. | ![]() ![]() ![]() Carrots A crop that we have been expanding production of every year for five years now. Yes, we have plain old orange carrots, but in the last couple of years we have added yellow, white, peach, red and purple. Yes, they all taste like carrots but have subtle differences and sweetness levels, and they add wonderful colors to that old orange standby. |

Green and yellow beans are okay, but for fresh eating , French Filet beans, extra slender and sweet are hard to beat. The nutty flavor and extra meaty texture of Italian Romano bean. The heirloom Dragons Tongue a yellow Romano with purple stripes, sauteed with garlic, shallots, and onions are fantastic eating. | ![]() Lettuce - Iceberg head lettuce you will not find on this farm, but nine or more types and colors - Leafs, crisps Romaines, bib, each season. Baby lettuce mix during the cools seasons and we continue the harvest in our large greenhouse until the first of the year. |

We trial new herbs and eliminate others as customers shopping habits change. We have as staples Greek Oregano, Thyme, Italian Flat & Curly Parsley, Mints, Catnip for our feline family members. | ![]() Sweet and Hot Peppers 12 varieties of Sweet types and 10 Hot ones. |
